Sealing Concrete Bathtub Can Anyone Give Me A General Idea On How To Install A Custom Tile Bathtub?

Can anyone give me a general idea on how to install a custom tile bathtub? - sealing concrete bathtub

I searched the Internet trying to find some general guidelines for this, and I've learned a lot, but I have some questions. In general, all I found was the installation of shower trays, which I assume will be similar to what I have in mind, but I'm not sure that there are some small differences.

If the line is more than a shower, or is the idea of sealing of the soil and the soil, regardless of overall height of the water in, right? I think that should be sufficient to reach the top of the tub bottom wall, or at least close to how you fill the tank with water.

When I go to the T-shirt higher, they are very long and wide? I saw one on the website of The Home Depot sold in 5 'of 40 'roles. The 40 "should be more than sufficient, but not sure if the 5 '(Incidentally, I liked) that line. I could really see that double in the feed. It seems that the goal would fail.

Another thing, if the edge of the tub to be filled on a large bath with shower for a sidewalk to keep the weight down with water? If so, how?

Another suggestion is welcome.

By the way, I will not, suggestions on what) most easily and cheaply as possible (without depending on quality, it would also be useful.

Oh, and any advice on how to install a concrete tank you compare the costs and difficulties, it would be wise appreciated.

I remove the soil and building beams, plumbing and rough. Then, create the framework of 2x4 lined with 3 / 4 "plywood disadvantages." D tar paper and staples, metal mesh shape and with fine sand and Portland cement mixture. In addition, I would taper as a shower tray line.

Then proceed to make a clay bed reinforced with 2 "x2 son up to 16 gauge 1 1 / 2" I thickness. On a waterproof membrane, such as carpet Schluter KERDI with epoxy mortar. After installing the tiles with Mapei Keralastic and mortar with an epoxy joint.

PJ The way in which we do not understand what you want, the work of bricolage average .. A tub full of test tiles and H2O is not a beginner work .. You need to d "lean" (w / appropriate adhesive) 2 to 5 meters wide, flash pots, and all parties sufficient to form a bathroom ".. Then you have a lot w / a panels of cement or concrete, then use a product to the bitter .. h20 seal alone is enough to strenuous a beginner not to mention all the other things .. You are really better and much cheaper to manufacture and a bath, you can make a good record finances wall w / deco bar was here or a pretty stone / marble / tile or what you look like ..

Home Depot and Lowe's have free instructions for tiles, walls, install the timer, and showers. They are hands on classes, and with the knowledge of the Internet should help answer your questions. In addition, the person teaching the class is usually a little more experience than the normal partner tiles on the floor.

Do you have the cost,,,, FREE.
