Door Shades Why Do The Shades Over An Open Window Pull Back To The Window When I Yank Open The Front Door?

Why do the shades over an open window pull back to the window when I yank open the front door? - door shades

You have to make a difference, as do with air?

The air enters through the front door, where the pressure from outside than the outside air is always moving and changing local pressure, the air in the back room of the window, sucked in and close the curtain air blow. If you believe that, while the door is not air through the room, so that the force of the air out of the window almost zero when the external pressure equal to the internal pressure. But the air is free when you open the door to enter or leave the windows and door when the room is no longer a closed system, air flows through and pulled the shade is closed.

Yes, it is the air.

If you take the door, the door begins to move inward, compressing the air in the room. Not much, but does not make much. The higher pressure in the room next to the shadow is the shadow of the way to the open window (the pressure is lower than the outside).

Note that the air is not moving, all the way to the door window. What we see is actually the effect of a sound wave with a very low frequency (aka, the longitudinal wave) travels across the room.
